PRIVACY POLICY — GOJOURNEY Last Updated: January 25, 2026

GoJourney LLC (“GoJourney,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our website, platform features, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

GoJourney is a marketplace platform that connects customers (“Customers”) with independent third-party guides (“Guides”). Payment processing may be provided by third-party processors such as Stripe. This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we process when you interact with the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information from you, automatically from your device, and from third parties.

1.1 Information you provide

Account and profile information: name, email address, phone number (if provided), profile photo, password (stored in hashed form), biography, general location (if provided), preferences, and other information you submit.

Customer/Guide activity: messages, inquiries, booking requests, cancellations, reviews, ratings, support tickets, and dispute communications.

Journey listings (Guides): listing details, schedules, pricing, safety requirements, equipment lists, and other information you post.

User content: content you upload or submit (e.g., photos, messages, reviews).

1.2 Payment and identity verification information

Payments: If you pay for a Journey or receive payouts as a Guide, payments are processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe). We typically receive limited information about transactions (e.g., status, amount, date/time, and identifiers) and do not store full payment card numbers.

Guide onboarding / KYC: Payment processors may collect and verify identity and banking information (e.g., government ID, tax information, bank account details) to comply with legal obligations. Such information is handled by the payment processor under its own terms and privacy policy. We may receive confirmation results (e.g., account verified) and limited related details.

1.3 Information collected automatically

Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, clicks, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from IP.

Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (“Cookies”) for essential site functions, security, and (where enabled) analytics and marketing.

Analytics tools (may be used): We may use analytics tools and software development kits (SDKs) to understand how users interact with the Services, improve performance, and develop new features. These tools may collect device and usage information such as pages viewed, clicks, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from IP address.

1.4 Information from third parties

We may receive information from:

  • Payment processors (transaction status, dispute/chargeback information, compliance/verification status);
  • Service providers that help us run the Services (hosting, email delivery, customer support tools);
  • Analytics providers (aggregated usage insights) if enabled;
  • Advertising partners (campaign measurement, where enabled).

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • Create and manage accounts, profiles, and listings;
  • Facilitate communications between Customers and Guides;
  • Process transactions, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks through payment processors;
  • Provide customer support and resolve issues;
  • Monitor and improve safety, integrity, and security (fraud prevention, abuse detection);
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms, Waiver/Release, and other policies;
  • Send service communications (account notices, security alerts);
  • Send marketing communications where permitted and in accordance with your choices.

3. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as described below.

3.1 With other users (Customers and Guides)

If you are a Customer, we may share limited information with a Guide to facilitate a Journey (e.g., name, contact details, booking details, messages).

If you are a Guide, your public profile and listing information will be visible to Customers, and booking participants may receive necessary contact and meeting details.

3.2 With service providers

We share information with vendors who provide services on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics, customer support, email delivery). They may process information only under our instructions and for the purpose of providing their services.

3.3 With payment processors

We share information necessary to process payments and payouts and to comply with legal requirements (e.g., fraud prevention, disputes/chargebacks). Payment processors process personal information under their own privacy policies.

3.4 For legal, safety, and compliance reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law, lawful requests, or legal process;
  • protect the rights, property, and safety of GoJourney, users, Guides, or the public;
  • investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
  • enforce our agreements and policies.

3.5 Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

3.6 Advertising and analytics partners (may be enabled)

We may share device and usage information with analytics providers and advertising partners to help us understand how the Services are used, measure marketing effectiveness, and (where enabled) deliver interest-based advertising. You can opt out of certain targeted advertising or cookie-based sharing where applicable through your browser settings and, where available, our cookie preference tools.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use Cookies for:

  • Strictly necessary purposes (authentication, security, and core site functionality);
  • Analytics (to understand usage and improve the Services), where enabled; and
  • Advertising/marketing (to measure campaign performance and, where enabled, to deliver interest-based advertising).

Where required by law, we will request your consent before using certain Cookies. Where available, you may manage your preferences through cookie consent tools. You can also control Cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain Cookies may impact functionality.

Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control (GPC): Some browsers offer signals such as “Do Not Track” or GPC. Where required by applicable law, we may treat GPC as a request to opt out of certain targeted advertising or cookie-based “sharing.”

  • provide the Services;
  • maintain records for business purposes;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

Retention periods vary based on the type of information and legal requirements. We may retain certain information after account deletion as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, dispute resolution).

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices

  • Account information: You may update certain profile information in your account settings.

To submit a request, contact us using the details in Section 11. We may need to verify your identity before processing requests. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
